Keeping Track of your Cargo

  • MAX, our internet-based software platform, is fully integrated with our vehicle tracking and ERP systems, providing:

    • seamless, real-time data via a secure web interface
    • real-time customer notifications via email and sms
    • secure customer portal to track and manage loads

  • All vehicles are fitted with satellite tracking and on-board computers, allowing for effective, flexible route planning and maximum vehicle productivity. In-cab cameras monitor driver behaviour, while in-cab communication is maintained at all times.

Maintaining excellence

Our fleet of more than 2 200 trucks and trailers is serviced regularly and maintained in exceptional working order. All work is carried out in our in-house workshops, which are accredited by the respective vehicle manufacturers and staffed by skilled technicians and mechanics.

A total of 15 service and repair centres across Southern Africa ensure quick turnaround times, which translates to maximum uptime and enhanced productivity.

Safety Starts Behind The Wheel

All new drivers at Barloworld Transport are required to complete an intensive three-week professional driver induction and training programme, including theory and practical components, before getting behind the wheel.

Annual refresher courses, which focus on defensive driving techniques and other advanced skills, are mandatory for all drivers. Along with this, we commit to mandatory annual medicals for every driver to ensure that that are medically fit to drive.

All of this is done in an effort to minimise risk to other drivers, your cargo and our company.

To keep raising our high standards, all drivers are required to complete an annual one-week refresher training programme. The programme focuses on defensive driving techniques and other advanced training modules, making Barloworld Transport an employer of choice in the Southern African logistics industry. Our commitment to continuous growth and development requires all employees to attend at least one company-funded training programme each year.
